Aleister Black On A Possible HBK Return, If WWE Was His Main Goal, The Pressure Of Being NXT Champion, More
WWE NXT Champion, Aleister Black was recently interviewed by Iain Chambers at Download Festival where he talked about a possible HBK return and more, below are some highlights of the chat.
If WWE was his main aim at the start of his career:
“No. When I started back in 2000, obviously WWE at the time was the land of the giants and I am by no shape or way a giant, I am 6 feet and 250 pounds, now. Back when I started I was barely 140 pounds, was I a fan of WWE? Yeah, of course, but I also knew it wasn’t going to be a thing for me up until the point when NXT came up to the foreground and a lot of my friends I was competing against got signed and I was like ‘Wait a minute, something is changing.’”
The pressure of being NXT Champion:

“It is definitely a lot of pressure because the people who have held this belt, the Shinsuke Nakamura’s and the Finn Balor’s, even going back to Seth Rollins and the Big E’s, the heritage that this belt has it’s heavy so I have a big responsibility to do right by this belt.”
A possible HBK return:
“I read about that and I was very intrigued, I think as a wrestler that bug never dies, I truly hope he will come back for one more and in the back of my head I have a few things I would like to see, but we are going to find out and if he does, it’s going to be fantastic. I know he can still go, don’t worry about that.”
