Bahrain reports 292 new COVID-19 cases

Dubai: Bahrain has reported 292 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of confirmed infections to 49,330 cases including active cases, recoveries and deaths, the Ministry of Health announced on Monday.

A 41-year-old Bahraini woman died from the coronavirus, taking the death toll to 184.

.The ministry revealed that of the 292 new cases, 118 were expatriate workers and 171 contacts of local cases and three travel related.

It said an additional 392 people had recovered, pushing the total number of recoveries to 45,981.

The latest cases were detected after the ministry conducted 9,602 COVID-19 tests, taking the total number of tests done so far to 1,039,571.

There are currently 34 COVID-19 cases in a critical condition, and 63 cases receiving treatment; 3,131 cases are stable out of a total of 3,165 active cases.
