The General Directorate of Nationality, Passports and Residence has said that those wishing to enter the Kingdom of Bahrain should apply for the e- visas via the new site.

###

Foreigners make up more than half of Bahrain’s 1.7 million population.

###

Last month, Bahrain said that holders of valid visas are no longer required to get prior permission to enter the country.

###

Scrapping the prior permission granted letter applies to foreign residents and visitors of Bahrain.

###

Excluded from the decision are the instant visas issued upon arrival at the country’s travel outlets and which are still suspended as part of restrictions against COVID-19.
