COVID-19: Bahrain reports 382 new infections

Dubai: Bahrain has announced the detection of 382 new cases of COVID-19, pushing the total number of confirmed cases to 44,011, the Ministry of Health reported on Monday.

Additionally, the Kingdom’s death toll rose to 162 after one COVID-19 patient succumbed to the deadly virus.

The ministry revealed that the latest cases include 165 expatriate workers while 214 of them are contacts of local cases and three are travelled related.

It said a further 418 people recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 40,967.

###

The ministry added that of the 2,882 active cases, 90 are receiving treatment and 36 in critical condition.

The latest cases were detected after conducting 9,133 Covid-19 tests in the past 24 hours, which brings the total number of COVID-19 tests so far to 902,059.
