Greatest Royal Rumble Tag Title Match, Maxel & Nicholas, Rousey

The Greatest Royal Rumble show is coming up very fast, and in addition to the first-ever 50-man Royal Rumble match, a match between John Cena and Triple H has been confirmed for the event in Saudi Arabia. Quite a few title defenses will be taking place during the show as well. One such match was officially confirmed during Smackdown last night when The Usos were able to defeat The New Day to earn themselves a championship rematch against The Bludgeon Brothers for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships at the upcoming Greatest Royal Rumble show. The event will be airing live from the middle east on the WWE Network on April 27th.

No fan could have predicted that Braun Strowman would select a young fan from the audience to be his tag team partner during his match against Sheamus and Cesaro at WrestleMania. The young boy, Nicholas, and Braun Strowman won the tag team titles before surrendering them on Raw the very next night. Nicholas’ WWE career may be over for now, but perhaps a feud has been set for the future. Matt Hardy’s son Maxel recently tweeted out an image of himself and Nicholas backstage during Monday Night Raw from earlier this week. Then again, perhaps Nicholas and Maxel could team up an win the tag team titles again much like Matt Hardy and his former rival, Bray Wyatt, are attempting to do.

Ronda Rousey impressed most fans during her debut pro wrestling match against Stephanie McMahon and Triple H at WrestleMania. Rousey made Stephanie McMahon submit to her armbar during the event before locking her in the move once again on Raw the following night. The latest Wrestling Observer Radio show has just revealed that this likely spells the end of the feud between Rousey and McMahon for right now. WWE is said to have major plans for Rousey following her standout performance at WrestleMania, and the company may even be considering having the former MMA star headline next year’s WrestleMania show in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
