Hajj: 25,000 expats among 2021 total of 58,518 pilgrims
Dubai: More than 25,000 expatriates from 150 countries are among a total of 58,518 men and women who performed Hajj this year, local media reported.
The number of female pilgrims stood at 25,702 while there were 32,816 men. The statistics were revealed in a joint statement issued by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Royal Commission for Mecca City and the Holy Sites.
More than 33,000 Saudi citizens performed Hajj, including 16,753 men and over 16,000 women. The pilgrims were distributed at holy sites according to four zones.
More than 16,900 pilgrims registered in the red zone, more than 20,000 in the green zone, 12,476 in the blue zone and more than 9,000 in the yellow zone.

The total number of camps where the pilgrims were accommodated was 213, including 71 camps in Mina and Arafat, 71 in Muzdalifah, in addition to 848 rooms in Mina towers, the statement added.
