Johnny Gargano Stretchered Out After Brutal Attack, New Gimmick Debuting on WWE NXT Next Week (Videos)
Gargano Stretchered From WWE NXT
Everyone’s favorite underdog Johnny Gargano was scheduled to face Aleister Black for the NXT Championship this week on WWE NXT, but the match never took placed thanks to yet another brutal assault by Tomasso Ciampa. After having his lights knocked out and driven through multiple tables off a stage, Johnny Wrestling was stretched out of the building and taken to a nearby medical facility.
Despite the attack, Aleister Black did end up defending his title on this week’s show, managing to defeat Eric Young and lay out his entire Sanity faction one-by-one. This was to set up Young and Killian Dain for singles matches over the next few weeks that will write off the group from NXT so that they can make their main roster debuts on Smackdown Live.
New Gimmick Heading to NXT
After being off television for more than a year, Kona Reeves will make his return to WWE NXT next week with his new gimmick, where he pretends he’s the “finest” superstar on the black-and-yellow brand. Good luck with that dude; you better hope Velveteen Dream doesn’t find out.
