Saudi Arabia: Car rental firms warned over conduct
Abu Dhabi: The Saudi Public Transport Authority said car rental companies are not entitled to compel motorists to sign any papers attached to the contract or order deeds, local media reported.
The authority also reiterated that requirements for completing the lease process are proof of the national identity of Saudis, residency for residents, or passports for visitors, in addition to the driver’s license and credit card.

“The terms of the insurance coverage are identical, and the requirement of any other documents is a violation of Saudi laws,’ the authrotiy said.
A car rental agreement is a legal document that motorists have to fill and sign when requesting a car hire service. It is an agreement between you and the leaser or car rental company. This agreement is binding on both parties.
