Saudi king, Iraqi PM hold virtual meeting
Cairo: Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz and Iraqi Prime Minister Moustafa Al Kadhimi had held virtual talks on strengthening ties between the two countries and coordinating stances on issues of mutual concern.
The meeting was held upon an invitation from the Saudi monarch, according to a statement issued after the talks.

They stressed the importance of expanding Saudi-Iraqi cooperation in different fields, building on mutual visits recently made by officials from both countries.
End Yemen war
“The two sides have agreed to intensify cooperation and coordination as well as to exchange views on issues that interest both countries on the regional and international arenas in a way contributing to consolidating the region’s security and stability,” the statement. In this regard, the Iraqi premier expressed support for an initiative launched earlier this week to end war in Yemen.
The Saudi king also invited Al Kadhimi to visit the kingdom very soon for talks, an invitation that the Iraqi premier has accepted.
