“I congratulate everyone on the Blessed Eid Al Adha. May Allah bless us and you with bounty, health and well-being,” he said in a tweet, according to the Saudi news agency SPA. “We also ask Allah to accept the pilgrims’ Haj and Muslims’ obedience.”

The Saudi monarch also hoped that the global coronavirus pandemic will be over.

On July 20, King Salman was admitted to hospital for medical tests on an inflammation in the gallbladder, a royal court said in a statement at the time. Last week, he had successful surgery to remove the gallbladder.

His discharge from the hospital came on the eve of the four-day Eid Al Adha, one of Islam’s holiest occasions.
