This Week’s WWE Smackdown Viewership Finally Sees 2018 Increase
As noted, this week’s historic Gauntlet match on WWE Raw was a big ratings success for the show, as Raw drew strong viewership for the first hour, and maintained the number throughout the second hour.
This week’s WWE Smackdown was headlined by Baron Corbin vs AJ Styles in a non-title match, and according to ShowBuzz Daily, the show averaged 2.613 million viewers. This is a solid bump from last week’s 2.449 million WWE Smackdown viewership average and is the first time in 2018 that the show has not seen a decrease in viewership from the previous week.
This week’s WWE Smackdown also featured an opening bout of Kevin Owens vs Dolph Ziggler, and the show ranked #4 in overall cable TV viewership for the night.
