Titus O’Neil Comments On Lars Sullivan Controversy, Claims He Reached Out To WWE Superstars To Apologize
WWE Superstar Titus O’Neil posted the following on Twitter this afternoon (edited for clarity):
“Lars Sullivan I applaud you for seeking out myself and others on the WWE roster to not only sincerely apologize, but also seek guidance as to how to move forward in being a better human being that you were 9 years ago. Nobody is perfect including […]. Thank you Vince McMahon for taking action!”
Lars Sullivan was fined $100,000 by WWE earlier this week and forced to undergo sensitivity training after controversial comments made on a forum years before he signed with the company were unearthed.
WWE reportedly was hoping the news would blow over before it became too big of a deal, but according to multiple sources, several sponsors reached out to them and were upset about the issue so they were forced to respond, and respond harshly so that it would be clear that they were taking the matter seriously.
