Two Big Matches Announced for WWE NXT Debut on USA Network
In just two weeks time, WWE NXT will make its highly anticipated debut on cable television, coming the USA Network on Wednesday, September 18.
The first match for the now two-hour live series has officially been announced, as The Velveteen Dream will defend his NXT North American Championship against Roderick Strong in a rematch from NXT Takeover: Toronto.
This week’s show saw the Undisputed Era member steal the spotlight from The Dream, sending a very clear message as he set the champion’s beloved, signature purple couch on fire.
With Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly winning back the NXT Tag Team Championships last week, and Adam Cole retaining his NXT Championship against Breakout Tournament winner Jordan Myles this evening, will Strong be able to bring ALL the gold home to the Undisputed Era, or will it be Dream Over?
Also announced for the show will be a triple threat match between three of the best women’s wrestlers the black-and-gold brand has to offer. Bianca Belair will come off her recent win to face Mia Yim and Io Shirai with the winner earning an opportunity at Shayna Baszler and the NXT Women’s Championship.
