Two die of COVID-19 in Bahrain

Dubai: Bahrain’s Ministry of Health has announced the detection of 378 new cases of the COVID-19 in foreign workers, contacts and some from recent arrivals to the island kingdom.

The latest cases were identified after conducting over 8,142 Covid-19 tests yesterday.

###

Health officials said that 132 expatriate workers were detected with the virus in the past 24 hours, 236 others were infected from local contacts of active cases and 10 travel related.

The ministry also confirmed that 337 patients recovered from coronavirus bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 42,806 so far.

###

Two deaths were also reported for a 73 and a 54-year-old male expatriate from coronavirus, taking the death toll to 170.

###

The latest update has revealed that there are currently 97 Covid-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 35 are in a critical condition.

###

Over 3,419 cases are stable out of a total of 3,454 active cases. The total number of discharged recovered cases totals to 42,806.

###

Bahrain has conducted over 962,334 tests and has 46,430 confirmed infections so far.
