Who Won The Ultimate Deletion? Brother Nero Debuts in WWE

After weeks of feuding between “Woken” Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt, fans were looking for something a little extra to ignite their final match. The two have competed in numerous matches against each other over the past few months, but fans have been pleading for Matt Hardy to return to competing in the wacky and over the top matches that he put in during his time as “Broken” Matt Hardy in Impact Wrestling from the Hardy Compound. At last, WWE gave the fans what they wanted during Raw last night when the two rivals finally settled the score in what was dubbed “The Ultimate Deletion.” The bizarre match is sure to be one of the talked about Raw main events for a while.

The Ultimate Deletion closed out Monday Night Raw last night as Hardy and Wyatt competed for the last time in Matt Hardy’s home in Cameron, North Carolina. Hardy and Wyatt’s match started off innocently enough as they wrestled in a ring outside of Matt’s home, but once Vanguard1 set off some nearby pyro, the match became something else entirely. Hardy and Wyatt brawled all around the area with weapons such as lawnmowers and pianos being used along the way. In the end, Wyatt was pinned by Hardy near the Lake of Reincarnation before he fell into the river mere moments later. Wyatt did not emerge from the lake, leading Matt to declare that Wyatt has been officially “DELETED!”

This match saw quite a number of debuts as Reby Hardy, Senor Benjamin, King Maxel, Lord Wolfgang, Vanguard1, and Skarsgard the Dilapidated Boat were all present for the match, but an interesting debut/return also took place during the last few moments of the match. Jeff Hardy briefly appeared, but he returned as the Brother Nero character that he portrayed during the original “Broken Universe” run in Impact Wrestling. With Jeff Hardy recently being spotted at the Performance Center, it is interesting to see him return during this match. Hopefully, we’ll start seeing Brother Nero team up with his brother on WWE programming soon enough. In the meantime, it looks like the Great War is OVAH!
